Jacksdale to Langley Mill
Erewash Meadows is a connected floodplain reserve spanning the Derbyshire–Nottinghamshire boundary. Meadows, ponds and an old stretch of the Cromford Canal provide habitat for birds within a former industrial landscape. The Trust highlights displaying Lapwing in spring and winter Wigeon and Teal. Its several named sections are treated here as one reserve rather than separate birding places. Public paths allow views across the wet ground, with a firmer northern approach from Jacksdale. Visitors must stay on the official routes because birds using the meadows are vulnerable to disturbance.
