Cow Lane, northeast of Godmanchester
Godmanchester Nature Reserve combines four former gravel lakes with grassland, reedbed and old hedgerows beside the Great Ouse. The Wildlife Trust names Kingfisher, Teal and Great Crested Grebe among its birds, with Snipe associated with Mouldings Meadow. Winter brings additional grazing wildfowl, although summer is the operator's suggested general visiting season. The Ouse Valley Way passes through the reserve. Different paths have different surfaces, so choose a manageable circuit from the map rather than assuming every lakeside section is equally accessible.
