Snuff Mills public arrival, River View, Stapleton · BS16 1DL

Snuff Mills provides a wooded River Frome walk within the connected Oldbury Court estate. The RSPB’s exact-site guide names Dipper, Grey Wagtail, Kingfisher and Treecreeper; the council independently identifies Dipper in the river habitat. These are birds to watch from existing paths, with no need to approach nest sites or leave the riverside route. The council treats Oldbury Court and Snuff Mills as one visitor destination with two public car parks. This entry does the same, rather than counting individual river viewpoints separately. Plan a short river walk or continue onto the estate’s wider path network.
