Bridge Road, Snape · IP17 1SP

Snape Marshes offers a wetland walk on the north bank of the Alde near Snape Maltings. Suffolk Wildlife Trust describes Barn Owl, Hobby and Marsh Harrier as birds routinely seen here. The mix of reedbed, dykes and higher ground gives a reason to linger rather than simply cross the reserve between village stops. Its public approach can be combined with time in Snape, using the operator’s parking and footpath instructions. Follow the signed route and pay attention to the actual surface: different sections are described as having different ground conditions.
