Boyton and Hollesley Marshes give visitors two coastal wetland landscapes in the lower Alde-Ore estuary. Grazing marsh, grassland and the freshwater lagoon at Hollesley provide a setting for Avocets, Lapwings and Wigeons. The appeal is a quieter walk through open country, with lagoon watching and broader estuary views along public paths. A seated viewing platform overlooks the lagoon. The two areas have their own arrival points, so choose the appropriate entrance before travelling. Expect natural grassy paths and exposure to coastal weather rather than extensive indoor visitor facilities.
