Hazeley Heath is a surviving stretch of lowland heath near Hartley Wintney, managed by clearing scrub and restoring the open vegetation that its wildlife needs. It suits birders who enjoy listening and scanning across a broad landscape, with Woodlark, Tree Pipit and Nightjar named by the RSPB. Typically, spring song and summer evening activity give the strongest reasons to come. The paths are public rights of way rather than a surfaced visitor circuit.
