Whitewall, Magor · NP26 3DD
Magor Marsh combines fen, reedbed, wet woodland and open water on the Gwent Levels. The Trust describes spring Cetti’s Warblers, autumn Kingfishers and winter Teal and Shoveler at the pond. A public hide gives the wetland watch a clear focus, while the boardwalk and paths introduce a wider patchwork of habitat. Choose the route that matches the ground and the group: access to the hide is different from the uneven, sometimes boggy areas elsewhere. The Derek Upton Centre beside the car park is an education building, open to general visitors only for special events.
