Coed-Cwner near Usk, Monmouthshire

Springdale Farm is a working farm with a public permissive circuit through pasture, hay meadows and ancient woodland near Usk. Willow warbler and chiffchaff are named in the Trust’s account of spring birdsong, while pied flycatcher appears on its exact-site species list. These woodland edges make the birding purpose distinct from simply visiting the flower meadows. The circular route crosses managed farmland and can include livestock, muddy lower slopes and steep woodland paths. Keep to the permitted paths and use the entrance opposite the almshouses. The small car park in front of the entrance barn gives a documented starting point for the farm circuit.
