Footpath from Granham’s Road, Great Shelford
Nine Wells combines woodland and scrub around chalk springs east of Trumpington. The council describes summer Reed Warblers along the brook, autumn Redwings in hedges and regular Yellowhammers among its visiting birds. The springs feed Hobson’s Conduit, giving the reserve a different character from a large gravel-pit wetland. Access is on foot rather than by road: choose the public footpath, permissive path or neighbouring cycle route before departure. The small watercourses and established vegetation are part of the habitat, not places to leave the paths.
