Innotec Drive, Balloo Road, Bangor
Balloo Wetland is a small dedicated wetland reserve within Bangor, managed by Ulster Wildlife with Ards and North Down Borough Council. Ponds, reedbeds and wet woodland support Little Grebe throughout the year, with Little Egret also recorded and small numbers of Teal arriving in winter. A short trail provides a compact visit around habitat created from former wet wasteland. This is a brief pond-and-reedbed watching stop rather than a large hide-based reserve. The operator recommends May to September for a general wildlife visit, while the winter duck interest offers a different reason to return.
