Barking Tye, near Needham Market · IP6 8HP

Bonny Wood is reached by a countryside approach from Barking village rather than a car park at the woodland entrance. Suffolk Wildlife Trust names summer Blackcap and Willow Warbler and reports regular Hobby sightings. The walk combines hedged fields with coppiced woodland rides, so leave time for the approach as well as the reserve itself. The operator gives a detailed route from the village hall and notes that signposting is imperfect. Read those directions in advance; finding the public footpath is part of planning this quieter inland visit.
