North of Woodcote Green, near Bromsgrove
Chaddesley Woods brings ancient oak woodland and a more planted western section together within one national nature reserve. The Trust names Fieldfare among the winter thrushes using berry-bearing shrubs, while Chiffchaff and Blackcap are summer migrants attracted to the woodland. Use the established paths and rides to explore these contrasts rather than entering the reserve’s restricted meadows. The main track is stoned, but most other routes have earth surfaces that are unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Roadside lay-bys provide the arrival; there is no vehicle access into the wood.

Getting there: Approach the signed woodland entrance north of Woodcote Green. Keep clear of gateways and remain on the established route. Black Meadow has no public access and the meadow areas open only on special days. The marker locates the reserve area rather than a lay-by.
