Access road to Elmdon Church, Solihull

Elmdon Manor brings woodland birds, ponds and meadow into a small reserve around the remains of an old walled garden. The Wildlife Trust specifically lists Nuthatch, Goldcrest and Sparrowhawk, so the trees and woodland edge are useful places to concentrate a visit. Enter from the road towards Elmdon Church rather than treating the surrounding park as one undifferentiated birding site. The reserve has clear, generally flat paths, although soft ground can become muddy in winter. Its position in Solihull makes it a practical local woodland stop within the West Midlands area.
