Glen Park Road, near Omagh · BT79 7SU
Gortin Glen offers waymarked forest walks with a public main-car-park arrival near Omagh. An RSPB Belfast Local Group visit on 27 July 2024 recorded Treecreeper, Siskin and Raven within the forest portion of its outing. Those are dated observations rather than a current seasonal checklist. Choose a route from the council’s walking trailhead and take time to listen beside the public paths. Forest recreation and working operations share the wider landscape, so follow local signs and any diversions. The separate lakes visited later in the group’s trip are not included in this forest entry.
