South of Livingston, beside Linhouse Water

Linhouse Glen offers a riverside woodland walk south of Livingston, with heath and grassland adding variety above the water. Look and listen for Treecreeper, Willow Warbler and Dipper, the three birds named in the Trust’s description. Allow time for the approach from Murieston before beginning a slow watch beside the river. The documented route passes beneath the railway viaduct into the north-eastern part of the reserve. Other entrances use a designated railway crossing, where the signs and crossing instructions must be followed carefully.
