Public foot access from Daws Heath Road, Thundersley · SS7 2LH

Little Haven's woodland paths offer a local birdwatching walk in the Daws Heath landscape. Essex Wildlife Trust names Song Thrush, Blackcap and Great Spotted Woodpecker in the spring dawn chorus. Meadows, hedges and acid grassland add variety beyond the trees, while flowers and butterflies provide a reason to pause in warmer weather. The woodland is associated with hospice grounds, but visitor access follows a separate public approach. Use the entrance from Daws Heath Road and respect the distinction between the nature reserve path and the hospice's main entrance. Winter mud can make a short walk slower than expected.
