Comberbach, near Northwich
Marbury Country Park combines the shore of Budworth Mere with mature woodland on a former country estate. RSPB Liverpool’s 2026 programme targets Hawfinch here and names Bittern among the waterbirds, giving a clear purpose to a winter birding visit. Woodland hides and waterside paths let visitors divide their time between the park’s two main habitats without changing sites. These are wild birds, so the programme does not guarantee a sighting on another visit. Marbury belongs to the wider Northwich Woodlands; this entry covers the park’s trees and mere shore, while adjoining flashes provide a different wetland setting.
