Portknockie village arrival, continuing west towards Findochty
The cliffs between Portknockie and Findochty form a separately named seabird locality in the county bird guide, which identifies Fulmar, Kittiwake and Shag. Use Portknockie as the public arrival and follow a suitable section of the coastal route west towards Findochty. The nearby Bow Fiddle parking approach can provide a starting point, but the named bird evidence here concerns the Portknockie–Findochty stretch; it is not a promise about every viewpoint beside the rock. Choose established cliff-top paths, allow room for other walkers and turn back before rough ground or exposed conditions make the walk unsuitable.
