South of Tayvallich

Taynish brings oakwoods, glades and coastal habitats together on a peninsula south of Tayvallich. Its public routes offer different walking choices: the woodland and coastal trails are mostly level, while Barr Mor is a more strenuous option. NatureScot names Wood Warbler and Redstart in summer and Whooper Swan in winter. Choose a manageable route and let a quiet listening pause become part of the visit. The wooded landscape and shore provide a useful mainland contrast within an Argyll stay. Arrival is along a single-track road, so leave enough time and consideration for other road users.
