Whitcliffe Road and the Bread Walk, Ludlow
Whitcliffe Common combines a woodland birding walk with the River Teme beside Ludlow. The county ornithological society names Dipper and Kingfisher for the river, with Wood Warbler among the spring woodland possibilities. Use the Bread Walk and the Common’s existing paths to watch the water and mature trees, taking account of the stone steps and steep slopes linking the levels. The viewpoint above the town provides an arrival landmark, while the riverside paths give the visit its birdwatching purpose. The route combines the Common, its viewpoint and the river within the same walk.
