Dunbar (3 mi / 4.8 km)

Brock Wood lies inland from Dunbar near Spott, with mixed woodland gradually being reshaped towards native alder, ash and oak. The Trust’s wildlife selection names Wren, Willow Warbler and Song Thrush. Its path network offers several ways to look through the woodland while leaving the undergrowth undisturbed. The change from planted timber trees towards native woodland is a useful part of the setting, rather than a promise of any particular sighting. Plan for muddy footing and a rural road approach, including the ford described in the operator’s directions.
