Estate visitor arrival off the A96, west of Forres
Brodie’s pond and woodland paths offer a focused wildlife walk within the wider castle estate. The Trust’s dedicated Brodie spotter guide includes Great Spotted Woodpecker, Mallard and Treecreeper, while its estate-walk account identifies wildlife hides beside the pond route. Use those paths for the birding visit rather than assuming a castle tour is needed. The grounds normally have public daily access, with separate arrangements for paid attractions. A current Trust notice says the entire Castle and Estate will be closed on Tuesday 27 October 2026 because of Storm Chloe; check the latest notice before travelling.
