Denny (2 mi / 3.2 km)

Carron Glen follows a steep wooded gorge beside the River Carron at Fankerton. Dipper and Kingfisher are named in the Trust’s overview, with Wren among the reserve wildlife selection. River watching can be combined with looking through the oak and ash canopy, but the available route is currently restricted. The operator reports that the path west after the bridge is closed by a landslip. Visitors can reach the eastern section by crossing the bridge and turning right. Treat that direction as a limit on the visit rather than attempting to complete a circuit.
