Cumbernauld (0 mi / 0 km)
Cumbernauld Glen offers an established woodland walk close to the town, with ancient trees, meadow and a variety of public routes. Kingfisher, Wood Warbler and Crossbill appear in the Trust’s reserve wildlife selection. This is a shared place used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders, so choose quiet stopping points that leave the route clear. Most paths are tarmac, though steep sections limit any assumption that the whole glen is easy to negotiate. The separate Glen Mile mountain-bike trail is not a walking route and should be avoided on foot.
