Invergowrie and Kingoodie, west of Dundee
Invergowrie Bay provides a tidal-shore birdwatching stop on the Perth and Kinross side of the boundary with Dundee. The Scottish Ornithologists' Club's county guide names Little Egret, Red-throated Diver and Spotted Redshank among birds recorded at the bay. These are possibilities to watch for, rather than guaranteed residents. The council's designated coast path links Station Road with the Kingoodie side, giving a defined public approach near Invergowrie railway station. Keep the visit on the landward public path; neither the railway nor the tidal mud is a walking route. This is a shore watch rather than a promised hide visit.
