Perth and Kinross offers loch and woodland watching at the Lowes, a broad freshwater landscape at Loch Leven, and a riverbank reedbed walk near Errol. Loch of the Lowes combines freshwater, reed margins and native woodland, with Ospreys from spring to late summer and ducks such as Goldeneye in colder months. The Main and Crannog hides provide different public loch views. Loch Leven joins open water with wet grassland, willow, woodland and reedbed, with autumn Pink-footed Geese and winter wildfowl among its main seasonal interests. Its public watching places include Phoenix Hide, Burleigh Sands and Levenmouth, each looking over a different part of the loch or wetland margins. Tay Reedbeds adds a smaller, river-focused outing along the Taybank Circular route from Errol. Bearded Tit, Water Rail and Marsh Harrier are named for the reeds, with farmland tracks connecting the village approach. These three destinations give a clear comparison between a loch-hide visit, a larger lakeshore landscape and a permitted reedbed walk beside the Tay.
