Tidmarsh near Reading, Berkshire

Moor Copse follows the River Pang through floodplain woods and adjoining meadows near Tidmarsh. The Trust’s exact-reserve species list names marsh tit, kingfisher and raven. Moist woodland, stream edges and open ground provide the habitat contrasts for a short birding visit. A waymarked Wildlife Walk gives a public route through the reserve, but ground conditions vary with rain and winter flooding. Current ash-dieback safety work means some paths may close temporarily or permanently. Follow the signed open waymarked routes and keep out of work areas. The surfaced car park beside the A 340 provides the operator’s documented public arrival.
