Beckingham Marshes is a Trent Valley reserve where wet grassland, hay meadows and hedgerows support different groups of birds. The RSPB names Lapwing and Redshank among the waders associated with the restored marsh, alongside Skylark, Curlew and Tree Sparrow. A signposted out-and-back visitor trail leads to a raised platform, with information points and benches along the way. This is an open landscape visit on grass rather than a paved reserve circuit. Cattle graze the site through much of the year, so plan for a shared route and allow livestock plenty of room.
