North Queensferry (0 mi / 0 km)

Carlingnose Point combines coastal grassland and gorse with old quarry cliffs on the east side of North Queensferry. The Trust names Fulmar around the cliffs and lists Common Tern and Arctic Tern among the reserve’s wildlife. The well-signed Fife Coastal Path supplies the public route through the area, allowing birdwatching to form part of a longer shore walk. Keep attention on footing as well as the water: the operator warns about cliff edges and loose quarry material. The grassland also supports uncommon plants, so avoid trampling away from the route.
