Nettleton

Nettleton Nature Reserve gives a former landfill site a new life as a grassland walk. Lincolnshire County Council names Skylark, Green Woodpecker and Kestrel among its birds, with other wildlife using the flowering grassland and scrub. A circular path, benches and picnic tables suit a short visit with pauses to listen and scan. Sheep graze after flowers have set seed and birds have finished nesting, helping to maintain the open habitat. Keep dogs under control and allow livestock space. Ground conditions matter here: the council's favourable buggy and mobility advice applies during dry periods.
